Secondary School Transition

Dear Parents and Carers,

Transition from Primary to Secondary School is a time of mixed emotions for everyone, and this year is unquestionably more challenging than ever before. Each year we work tirelessly to ensure that transition is as smooth as it can be, and in that respect I would like to reassure you that this year is no different. Teachers are already in contact with teachers at the new schools and we have set up this page on our website to help you support your child. There is information from the Secondary Schools which you may have already been sent direct, and some other pieces that you may find helpful to work on with your child at home. This will be added to as we receive more information from the various schools.

It is unlikely that Secondary Schools will be able to offer face to face transition before the end of the academic year, however, I can assure you that they are working hard with Primary Schools to ensure that the transition at the start of the next academic year will be supportive for all pupils, and as soon as we know what that looks like we will let you know.

If you do have any questions or would like any guidance or support please feel free to email me ihart@allsouls.kent.sch.uk and I will do my very best to help.
