Hello to our Ladybird families. Here is what we got up to last week...

And finally...

We would like to say a huge 'Congratulations!' to Simeon and Emmie this week for being our first Reading Champions. They have read consistently at home (at least 4 days each week) for 5 weeks and have collected a prize for their efforts from Mrs Ransley.

We know we have more Reading Champions in Ladybirds but, Parents/ Carers we need your help. When you hear your child read (this could be the reading book they bring home or a bug club book or game) please record it in their reading log book. We check the books each week to see who has read for at least 4 days in the week. These children become our Reading Stars for the week. When your child has been a reading star 5 times they become a Reading Champion and can select a prize from Mrs Ransley.

Just to let you know, new books and games have been added to your child's Bug Club account which match their current phonic knowledge. Do log on and have a browse.

Week beginning 21st February 2022

Welcome back to all our Ladybird families!

It is hard to believe we are already in Term 4.

The theme for this term is called...

We will be finding the answers to questions such as 'Why is light important to us?', 'What are light sources?' and 'How are shadows made?'. We will also explore how lights are used in different celebrations and have fun making our own Van-Gogh 'Starry Night' pictures.

Before we begin a very busy term, take a look back at our final week of Term 3 in the pictures below. Don't forget, if you have any questions or queries you can email me on... mchapman@allsouls.kent.sch.uk

Our reading stars from over half term...
