Wishing all our families a wonderful half term holiday. We have, as usual, been working extremely hard in school so deserve a break!

Week beginning 22nd January 2024

Another packed week of learning for KS1. Here's a little of what we got up to...

Week beginning 15th January 2024

Last week had a very wintery vibe in Key Stage 1 in terms of our learning. Take a look at what we have produced...

Welcome back Fireflies. We hope you had an enjoyable and restful break.

This term, our learning will be based on the wider curriculum theme of ...

We will be exploring the capital cities of London and Tokyo within our Geography sessions, will learn about Samuel Pepys and the Great Fire of London as part of our History lessons, and will get creative in our Art lessons when learning about the artist Van Gogh as well as a few local artists too.

Full details of our wider curriculum coverage will be available soon. Click on the link at the bottom of the page.

In addition to the above, we will continue with our daily phonics, English and maths lessons.

Fireflies will base their English learning on the following books...

We are looking forward to a busy and exciting term.

Just a few reminders...

P.E. days are on Wednesday. Please ensure your child comes to school in their P.E. kit on this day. Remember, the weather is very much on the cold side now- warm jogging bottoms are necessary to cope with outdoor play on P.E. days!

Please make sure all items your child brings to school are labelled so that missing property can be returned promptly.

Take a little time to read everyday. Log on to Bug Club to access games and books linked to your child's current reading level.

If you have any questions, worries or concerns, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
