A warm welcome back to our final term in Fireflies Class!

The summer holidays are beckoning, but we still have one last term packed with fun and learning.

We will be finding out about when and why castles were built, who lived in them and how they were defended. We are very much looking forward to our trip to Dover Castle!

Our English lessons will also have a castle theme as we continue our Curious Quests...

We will be writing letters, explanation texts, character descriptions and creating our own dragon-based adventures. The final weeks of the term will see us focus on sun and water safety in preparation for the long summer holidays.

Our class reading book is...

We will, of course, continue with our daily maths and phonics sessions and weekly lessons of music, history, P.E., R.E., P.S.H.E and computing. Our Art lessons will see us combine different skills to create a wonderful heraldic shield.

Our P.E. lessons will continue on Mondays.

Your child should come to school in their P.E. kit and trainers on these days. This term our focus is athletics. As much of our P.E. will be outside this term, please ensure your child has a hat for sunny days.
