Welcome to our class page – Term 3

Dinosaurs!

Have a look at some of our dinosaur learning this week.....

Who can name a famous palaeontologist? Why is she famous?

This week, we have been using our tricky words in our writing and reading so well, with Mrs Andrews!

We have thought about our emotions a lot this week and have discussed different strategies we can use. Such as, if you are worried, you can talk to a friend or adult. If you are tired, have a stretch or get some fresh air. The children had great ideas during the stories we shared together. Here is the link to the stories we heard –

Children's Books Read Aloud - The Rachel Bright Collection Volume 1 (youtube)

We have had such a busy week! The photos show lots of writing which the children have all chosen to do!

We are very proud of them all! Well done Ladybirds! There are many names in the merit book now!

In Maths, we have used new vocabulary to discuss more or fewer! Show your grown up at home!

In Drawing Club (English) we watched a cartoon called The Flumps and did some lovely writing.

We know that birds have feathers, and we have made bird feeders to leave outside for them!

Don't forget to log in to Bug Club at home if you can, to explore the phonic/reading activities. Well done everyone for bringing in your reading folders most days this week. Thank you!

We have continued our learning about Winter this week. We have found out about animals that hibernate. We now know which animals hibernate and why.

Our new Home Learning grid can now be found in the Home Learning section on our website!

Please could we ask that reading folders are brought in everyday now as reading books may need to be changed a couple of times a week. Thank you!

Welcome back everyone! We hope everyone is well and have enjoyed the Christmas break. All the children have settled back so well this week. Well done Ladybirds.

This week we have been learning about New Year, reading and writing tricky words, counting in maths, finding out about Winter and exploring snow!
