It is hard to believe it is the final term of the school year, but with a school trip, sports day and transition days, there is plenty of fun to be had over the coming weeks.
The theme for our learning this term is...
Our Geography sessions will focus on the physical and human features of the coastal landscape. We will particularly be exploring the coastline around Folkestone. Beach huts are our focus in Design Technology, where we will create models of our own beach hut designs. Within science, we will be 'sensing seasons' and identifying the changes that summer brings.
As always, Power Maths and Bug Club Phonics lessons will be taught daily. We would encourage all parents and carers to spend a little time each day hearing your child read and to support your child in completing the weekly maths home learning challenges set. Please visit the Home Learning page to find these.
We will use the following books within our English lessons...
We will be writing instructions, creating fact sheets, writing recounts and letters and making posters about keeping safe at the beach. It is going to be a busy term!
Our final PSHE focus, following the Jigsaw scheme of work, is entitled 'Changing Me'.
If you have any questions, worries or concerns about your child's learning, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
