Young Carers
Could your child be a young carer?
Does your child have a sibling with an ASD diagnosis? Does your child care for any family member who is physically or mentally ill, frail, elderly, disabled or misuses alcohol, or substances? Having some time to themselves with other children in similar positions is important. Young carers aged 11+ will also receive a free yearly bus pass to help them get to and from school and to use in their free time.
Please contact Mrs Allon if you think your child could be a young carer. Alternatively, you can refer your child yourself by using the following link:

Our Outings and Activities 2025-2026
Garden House Orchards
Mrs Ransley and Mrs Allon had a lovely afternoon with some of our young carers. We visited Garden House Orchards to pick our own Christmas tree for the school. Thank you to the Orchards for allowing us to cut our own tree down. Now for the decorating!

Rotary Club Christmas Party
Our young carers had a fantastic afternoon at the Three Hills Christmas party, where they spent time with lots of children from other local primary schools. They played football, speed cage, table tennis, wheelchair basketball, badminton, dodgeball and speed stacking. With some sweet treats, Christmas music and a visit from Father Christmas, it was a wonderful afternoon, which got us all in the Christmas mood.
Thank you to the Folkestone Rotary Club and Three Hills for getting us all in the Christmas spirit!

Scotch Eggstravaganza
Our young carers had a wonderful time at East Kent College, where they joined the catering department for the afternoon. They were shown how to make a scotch egg and then had the chance of making their own. Thank you to everyone at the college for making the afternoon possible. The children really enjoyed themselves.

Thank you to Folkestone Rotary Club!
Our local Rotary Club is a great supporter of our school. We would like to say a big thank you for their recent donation of £500 towards trips for our young carers. We are extremely grateful!
