We have had a huge response to our WOW project! We could see a noticeable difference outside school on Wednesday morning, with fewer cars and parking problems. This week’s WOW award winners are Caterpillar class, with 87% of the class walking, or parking and striding this week. Well done Caterpillars! Who will win next week?
This week in Art, Stingrays have looked at the abstract artist, Paul Klee, whose artwork was inspired by musical rhythms. We created our own abstract art pieces, whilst listening to four very different genres of music.
We will be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 2nd March, and inviting children to come to school dressed up as their favourite book character.
Dressing up is a popular way to encourage children to engage with reading. It can help children to swap reading recommendations, and is a good way to celebrate what children are reading at home. It can help create fun and excitement around reading. Please see link below from the World book day website which explores different dressing up ideas for parents and children.
We look forward to seeing and hearing from the children all about their favourite books and characters.
On the last day of Term 3, children came to school, 'dressed to express'. It was wonderful to see how the children chose to represent themselves.
Mrs Hart and Mrs Warburton will be running coffee mornings throughout the coming terms to support our Parents/ Carers of our pupils with additional needs. In order to ensure they are supportive and comfortable for those attending, we have decided to keep them small in size. In Term 4 our focus will be on Autism, and are for Parent/Carers whose children have a diagnosis, or are awaiting an assessment.

It would be lovely to see as many parents/carers at our coffee mornings, that will be held in the school hall on the first Thursday of every month.
It is a chance to have a chat with me, to meet other parents/carers, make new friendships and have that connection with your child’s school.
