EYFS - Term 1
Autumn Senses
We have used our amazing senses this week. We went for an Autumn walk to the park and saw and heard so many beautiful things. How have you used your senses at home?
We have enjoyed looking at and sharing some Home Discoveries. Thank you for bringing them to school this week.
Have a fabulous half-term, and we will see you on Monday 27th October ready for term 2.
Andy Goldworthy
This week we enjoyed looking at amazing artwork by Andy Goldworthy. So many children were excited about making their own artwork in the garden. They did an amazing job! Well done everyone!
Note - Date for the year R phonics and early reading meeting TUESDAY 4th NOVEMBER at 2.15pm which you are all invited to!
Harvest
What a busy fun week!
We enjoyed attending the Harvest Festival at our local church. All the children made us all feel so proud as their singing was beautiful, and they sat so well to watch and listen. Well done everyone!
We have named many vegetables this week and have looked at how crisps are made from potatoes. We made our very own delicious crisps from sweet potatoes which were devoured by the children today. Ask them about how we made them. (see our Facebook page for the photos)
In maths, we have found and made 'more' when using the same objects.
Note - Date for the year R phonics and early reading meeting TUESDAY 4th NOVEMBER at 2.15pm which you are all invited to!
Autumn
We have begun learning about Autumn! We have all enjoyed using conkers outside in our garden to count, roll and compare. We have explored autumn leaves, and we have listened to autumn stories.
The Three Little Pigs
For Drawing Club, we shared the story of The Three Little Pigs and drew our own pictures. We built houses to keep the pigs safe and used puppets to tell the story.
For Maths, we used five frames with our resources.
Next week, we have our school photos on Friday and at 2.30pm you can visit our classroom again!
