Dear Year 2 learners, click on the attachments below to find your maths and spelling challenges for the week and to try out some of the activities in the Home Learning Grid.

This term we will be revising solving calculations and problem solving using all four operations. (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) We will be completing our topics on measurement using cm and m, mass using g and kg, temperature and reading different scales, position and direction, time and statistics.

Maths week 2; This week we have been measuring mass using grams and kilograms. This week's home learning activity is focusing on measuring in grams.

Spelling week 2; This week we have been looking at words where the 'a' makes an 'or' sound followed by 'l' or 'll'. An example of this is the word, 'all'. There is an activity attached to practise these spellings (lesson 22) Helpful hint; antonym means the opposite of a given word.

Maths Week 1; This week we have been measuring using centimetres and metres, We have been practising using rulers, comparing measurements and ordering measurements. There is an activity attached to practise these skills.

Spelling Week 1; This week we have been practising adding the suffix -ed. There is an activity attached to practise these spellings. (lesson 21)
