We are certainly whizzing through this term and once again we have had a busy week. A big thank you to all our parents and carers who came to our phonic workshop last week. If you were unable to attend or have yet to sign up, we have a workshop this Thursday too- 13th October. Simply add your name to the list via the 'school money' link. It would be great to see you there. Take a look at some of our learning from last week...

Here's a game you can play to help you with our maths words of more and fewer. It is the 'Mucky Monsters' game from ictgames.com. Click on the link below to play the game. Remember to have a grown-up with you when you are on the internet.

Hello again Ladybird families. Last week was another busy week of learning in Ladybird Class. It was so lovely to see so many of you join us at our Harvest Festival on Thursday - we hope you enjoyed our performance of The Dingle Dangle Scarecrow.

Here is a taste of what we got up to last week...

Don't forget that this Thursday is the first of our phonics workshops for parents/ carers. Please sign up via School Money. It will be a great opportunity for you to find out how we teach phonics and reading at All Souls' as well as find out how you can support at home through games and activities and the Bug Club resources. See you there!

Don't forget to sign up to come along to one of our very informal phonic workshops to find out the new way phonics and reading is taught at All Souls' and how you can support your child at home to become an independent and confident reader. You can sign up via 'School Money'. I am looking forward to seeing you there.

Week beginning 26th September 2022

We began our full days at school last week. It was certainly a busy week and there were a few tired Ladybirds by the end of the day on Friday! Take a look at what we got up to...

This week we began exploring our theme, "Why do leaves go crispy?" We looked at the shape and colour of leaves that had been collected and used magnifying glasses to see the veins. Some of us tried out a little leaf rubbing to really see the patterns the veins make.

We all tried really well with our counting but some of us are finding saying our number names, or counting each object just once, a little challenging. Why not try out some games below (from the Topmarks site) to practise your counting skills at home. Simply click on the pictures. Remember: when using the Internet, always have a grown-up with you.
