Week beginning Monday 1st May 2023

Hello Ladybird families! Wishing you all a lovely bank holiday. Here is what we got up to last week in school...

We also tried out the 'Counting Caterpillar' game from ictgames. Click on the picture below to play the game again. Stay safe - always have an adult working with you when you go online. Grown-ups: use the sliders to select a lower and upper number to order. Put the numbers in order and watch the caterpillar gobble the leaves and turn into a butterfly!

Don't forget, this week we will be starting to create a 'Coronation Garden' in our outdoor area. If you have any small terracotta pots or wildlife friendly plants that you are able to donate for our project, do send them in as soon as you can. Thank you!

Week beginning Monday 24th April 2023

A little plea for next week. As part of our Coronation celebrations next week, Ladybird Class will be creating a 'Coronation garden' in our outdoor area. This will become a permanent feature. We will be setting up a wildlife friendly planter to encourage butterflies and other minibeasts as well as birds. We will also add some royal decorations too. If you have any small terracotta pots that you are able to donate for our area, or wildlife friendly plants, they would be gratefully received. Please do send them in by Thursday.

We hope you are enjoying your Home Learning activity of reading out and about in the environment. Don't forget to send in or email photos for our reading display. Our first week back was a busy one. Take a look at what we got up to...

Our new curriculum theme for Term 5 is called...

We are looking forward to a term full of exciting learning and discoveries, including exploring our local environment, looking for signs of Spring, investigating life-cycles and comparing school and shopping past and present. Remember to keep popping back to see what we have been up to.

For full details of our learning this term do click on the 'Ladybird Class Termly Curriculum Grids' link on the right-hand menu.

Here is what we got up to in the final week of last term...

Of course, we all enjoyed performing our song 'A Happy Day' to you as part of our Easter Service in church this week.

Finally, we would like to mention our superstar Ladybird Learners this term.

Here are the children who read at least 10 online books from their Bug Club account this term and were awarded a certificate and special book prize. Well done!

A super well done for these children too for completing all their home learning challenges this term. They took home certificates and a special prize too!

Parents/Carers: As always, if you have any concerns or want a chat about supporting your child at home, please do drop me an email:
