Home Learning - Years 5 and 6 - W.B. 15th June 2020

Be Internet Legends

Sadly, we have had some reports of some unkind behaviour on social media from some of our pupils during ‘lockdown’.

Please remember that anything you put online can be there forever – it is so easy to take screenshots or record messages that have been sent. It has saddened us to see members of our school community sending such unkind messages.

Always consider how your online interactions could make others feel. Let’s build each other up instead of tearing each other down!

Google has started a campaign called ‘Be Internet Legends’, it may be worth looking through their advice and activities to help keep your children safe.

Hi there everyone! It seems as though this year is flying by, and we are missing you all! However, although time seems to be passing swiftly, it's an opportunity to start thinking about how this also means we are getting nearer to coming back together as a school and community - so stay positive, this won't last forever!
Remember,
'STRONG ROOTS NEVER DOUBT SPRING WILL COME'.
We hope as 'lockdown' restrictions change, you have been able to regain at least some safe contact with friends and family - and maybe go to a shop or two! Do try and keep up with home learning if can though; this will really help when we all get back together! In the meantime, don't forget you can message us on Padlet; we would love to hear from you!
As before, if you are finding it difficult to concentrate, or if you find the main activities too tricky, please have a go at the Quick English. If you would like to, you could always look at the work in Year 3/4 to help remind you of some key skills - as an alternative.
Please continue to make sure you are keeping up with your reading, and using Nessy, as much as possible. This remains especially important, as we need to make sure we are raring to go when we all return.
