Home Learning - Years 3 & 4

Week beginning 1st June 2020

Good morning year 3 and 4. We hope you have had a lovely half term and been able to enjoy the glorious sunshine with your families! This week is the start of term 6 and we will be continuing to focus many of our learning activities around our new topic, Blue Abyss. It has been lovely to hear some of your thoughts and responses to our questions on the Padlet message board. If you haven't tried it yet, give it a go as it is a lovely way to keep in touch. Here's the link;

This week's literacy and VIPERS activity is linked to chapter 1 of Kensuke's Kingdom. You will need to listen to it by following the link below (if you haven't already). Chapters 2, 3 and 4 are also available to listen to. (Chapter 5 is coming soon). There is also an additional art project for you to try at home. We would love to see any finished pictures on the website.

There is a slight change to how you need to access the maths activities this week.

For each year group there is an instruction document to read first. Videos can still be accessed on the White Rose website but the activity documents can now be found further down this page. Remember to access the videos for  Summer Term - Week 4 (w/c 11th May).

You all have logins for Times Table Rock Stars, Accelerated Reader and Nessy, and some of you also have a Bug Club login. Please make sure that this term you all make the most of these useful learning resources as much as possible.

This term's science topic is sound. For an extra challenge we would like you to look at the Science document  below. Read the information and have a go at the questions. This can be completed over the next two weeks.

As always, we hope you have a lovely week and enjoy tackling your challenges. We really miss you all and look forward to hearing from you on Padlet.
