Further Information About Our Governors

Mrs. L. Ransley

As the Headteacher of All Souls’ Church of England Primary School, I also sit on the Governing Body. This role allows me to work closely with the Governors. I complete termly reports to Governors ensuring that they are aware of achievement, progress, safeguarding and the school’s curriculum. I also share the exciting things we do as a school as well as sharing with them ways in which we can improve.  I arrange monitoring visits with the Governors to ensure that they have an overview on the quality of education in the school.

Mrs. R. Yorke

I am a Director Appointed Governor. My background is in Early Years.  As a Christian, I am keen to see each member of All Souls' School thrive in their learning in an environment shaped by the Christian values we learn from Jesus.

Mr. B. Coultrip

I currently have three children at All Souls' Primary School. I work full time as a Senior Data Manager within the automotive industry, managing a team of data analysts. I feel the skills I have gained over the years will be beneficial in assisting the school with project management and finance.

Mr. S. Patel

I currently lead an architects' practice and hold a supporting role at a local NHS health provider. Governance is a rewarding way for me to share and learn new skills, innovations and strategies with the highly talented people who run schools and directly support the work they do.

Mrs. E. Webb

I am Lis Webb. Previously employed at All Souls' as a class teacher for the past 10 years, I am now excited to be able to take up a position as school Governor. My experience in the classroom as well as previous governor experience (12 years at another Aquila Trust school) and also in the banking profession will enable me to ensure the holistic and spiritual growth of all pupils at All Souls'.

Dr. A. French

Dr. French is a co-opted Foundation Governor, representing All Souls' PCC. He first became a Governor on his retirement in 2008, after 31 years of teaching in Dover. He graduated from Dundee University in 1973, studied for a PGCE at Durham University and continued studying at Durham for a PhD in education. He was Chair of Governors from 2011 to 2018. In August 2014, Dr. French was appointed by the Secretary of State for Education as a Canterbury Diocesan representative on the Interim Executive Board of St Nicholas School, New Romney and served for two years.

Mrs. H. Walker

As one of the Deputy Headteachers at All Souls’ school, I am on the Governing Body, as the staff representative. In my role I am able to share views, concerns and achievements from the staff and support the Headteacher, while working closely with the governors to ensure the successful running of our wonderful school. Together, we aim to provide our children with the best education, and ensure our school goes from strength to strength.

Reverend. S. Croft

Vicar of All Souls' Church, St Martins and St Nicholas Newington.  I have been in post since the start of 2022, after a time working with the Church overseas.  I have ministered in churches and been present in schools as a minister for nearly 15 years. I have 5 children of a wide range of ages, so am aware of the many important milestones our schools help children to embrace, and their capacity to unlock each personal learning journey children come to school with. It’s a joy to be part of the deepening working relationship between school and church.

Ms. K. Bennett

I am a Director Appointed Governor and began the post in September 2022. I have a background in social work and have worked with children in care for much of my career. I have worked closely with All Souls’ School previously. I now manage an adoption team. I am passionate about promoting a trauma-informed way of supporting families, and ensuring children can access opportunities in education, and support the school with safeguarding matters.

Mrs. R. Dean

I am a Director Appointed Governor, have a child at the school and am a Christian, attending a local church.

I have been working in education for over 15 years, in a variety of different settings including nursery, primary schools and a special needs school, with a range of different roles including middle management. I aim to bring some of my knowledge to this role and support the school in any way I can.
